Ekta Batra was born and raised in a middle-class family in India. After completing her early education, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Ithaca College. Following her studies at Ithaca College in 2007, she earned a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Warwick. Before completing her graduation, Ekta briefly worked for four months with Merrill Lynch.
In November 2008, Ekta started her career as a Research Analyst with CNBC TV18. She worked in that role for three years until she was promoted to Editor of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare in June 2022.
