Ekta Batra was born and raised in a middle-class family in India. After completing her early education, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Ithaca College. Following her studies at Ithaca College in 2007, she earned a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Warwick. Before completing her graduation, Ekta briefly worked for four months with Merrill Lynch.
In November 2008, Ekta started her career as a Research Analyst with CNBC TV18. She worked in that role for three years until she was promoted to Editor of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare in June 2022. In addition to covering news related to the pharma and healthcare industries, she has also hosted several shows including 'Your Stocks', 'Trading Hour', and 'Power Breakfast'.
