Shruti was raised in a Hindu family in India, and her parents supported her throughout her life. After completing her early education, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Later, she completed her MBA from Symbiosis Center of Management Studies in 2011.
Shruti began her career with CNBC TV18 in May 2008 as a Feature Trainee for the show "Young Turks". She then worked as an Assistant Producer from April 2010, and her team was impressed with her work. As a result, she was promoted to Producer in January 2013 and then to Deputy Editor and Anchor in October 2021.
