Vivek Shandilya's rise to success as a news anchor didn't happen overnight. Born in Deoghar, Jharkhand, he moved to Delhi in search of work in the IT sector. Although he wasn't able to find a job in his field of interest, he eventually carved a niche for himself in the field of journalism. As of 2022, he is 33 years old and works with India TV, having previously worked with several other prominent news channels.
Vivek's career in journalism began with ETV Bharat in 2009, where he started as an intern. He received training and a stipend, which was a unique opportunity at that time. During his time at ETV Bharat, he learned a lot of valuable skills, including pronunciation, news delivery, reporting, and anchoring.
He then worked with IBC 24 from April 2011 to October 2012 before joining News Nation in February 2013. He continued to showcase his skills at News Nation until May 2017. In the same month, he joined ZEE Chhattisgarh, where he worked until January 2019, when he left due to personal reasons.
In January 2019, he joined Republic Bharat and was part of the channel's launching team. He held the position of senior editor and worked there until 2022, when he joined India TV.
Throughout his career, Vivek has covered many important events, including the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, state elections, the surgical strike, and the Nepal earthquake.
